Terms of service
These terms describe what AnySchedule does, what it does not promise, and what an institution and its members are responsible for.
1. Agreement
By using AnySchedule you agree to these terms. If you use AnySchedule on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you are authorised to accept them for that institution.
2. The service
AnySchedule is scheduling software for institutions. It stores institutional data — such as terms, classes, subjects, teachers, rooms and periods — and generates weekly timetables from the rules an institution defines.
The public website is informational. It offers no accounts, no data entry and no scheduling features; the application and its hosting back end do the work.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You need an account to use the application. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Tell the institution administrator if you believe your credentials have been compromised.
- Accounts are intended for adults acting in a professional capacity. AnySchedule does not provide accounts for learners.
4. Institutional data and roles
- Institutional records belong to the institution. Membership carries a role — administrator, teacher or viewer — that determines what you may read or change.
- Administrators are responsible for who joins an institution, and for appointing another administrator before the last one deletes their account.
- A published timetable is read-only until the term is unpublished. This is enforced by the database, not merely by the interface.
- Deleting a personal account does not delete institutional records; see the privacy policy for the complete list.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access data you are not authorised to read, or attempt to bypass authorisation;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without written permission;
- upload malicious content, or content you have no right to store;
- resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties as your own;
- use the service in a way that interferes with other institutions’ use of it.
6. Scheduling outcomes
- AnySchedule generates timetables from the data and rules you provide. The engine never violates a hard rule it has been given, and it reports an impossible week instead of inventing one.
- Deterministic generation is a property of the engine, not a warranty that a timetable is legally, contractually, pedagogically or clinically sufficient. Verifying that your rules are complete and correct remains the institution’s responsibility.
- AnySchedule is not a source of legal, employment, accreditation or safety advice.
7. Availability and changes
The service is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed, and maintenance may interrupt availability. No uptime or service level commitment is made in these terms.
8. Intellectual property
The AnySchedule name, interface, documentation and source code remain the property of their respective owners. Your institution’s records remain the institution’s. These terms transfer no ownership in either direction.
9. Third-party services
AnySchedule relies on Supabase for database, authentication and storage, and is distributed through application stores. Those providers apply their own terms to their services. Their availability and behaviour are outside the control of AnySchedule.
10. Privacy
The privacy policy forms part of these terms. It describes what is stored, who can read it, how long it is kept, and how an account and its data are deleted.
11. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from the application or the account deletion page.
- Access may be suspended where these terms are breached, where the service is misused, or where suspension is required by law.
- Institutional records survive the deletion of an individual account, because the institution continues to depend on them.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of generated schedules, or uninterrupted operation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of institutional data caused by factors outside its control, or decisions taken on the basis of a generated timetable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Because no legal entity is established yet, this clause states intent rather than a completed commercial agreement; it must be reviewed before it is relied upon.
14. Subscriptions and payments
AnySchedule is currently provided free of charge. This repository contains no payment, billing or subscription system, and no payment obligation exists today. If paid plans are introduced, these terms will be updated before any charge is made.
15. Governing law
No jurisdiction or legal entity has been established for the service yet, so no governing law is selected here. The operator must complete this section before these terms are relied upon. Nothing on this page selects a governing law or forum by implication.
16. Changes to these terms
These terms change together with the product. When a change materially affects accounts, institutional data or deletion, the updated text is published on this page and the date at the top of the page is revised.
17. Contact
No support mailbox is configured for this release, so no contact address is published here in place of one that nobody reads. Until a real contact route exists, account and data requests are handled through the account deletion page and the account settings inside the application.
